Hastahana is a place of layers, a place of expression, a place for the citizens. During the Ottoman Empire - suggested by its name - Hastahana housed the city’s hospital. The open area was widely used as a green lung in the city center during the Austro-Hungarian times. After the seige, the regulatory plan of Sarajevo envisaged the construction of a museum, which was never built. Since then, the park has become the platform for art, sports and youth. In the late 2010s different projects have been proposed claiming the area as an empty field, unused space and a place that does not belong to anyone. Most of these project proposals are taking away one of the last public spaces and an open platform for the citizens of Sarajevo. This series shows an aspect of life often forgotten in Hastahana: of the youth.
